Rapper Nasty C and Afro soul singer Amanda Black are leading in the nominations for the 23rd South African Music Awards.
The nominations were announced last night at Destiny hotel in Kempton Park.
“Am so excited and humbled,” an overwhelmed Amanda told DRUM.
Nasty C who didn’t make it to the nominations tweeted; “God comes through every single time” as the nominations were announced.
Both Amanda and Nasty C are nominated in the Best Newcomer category.
The awards take place in Sun City on the 27th of May. Here’s a look at the full list of nominees;
